Instructions for Purchasing Goods
Here at Destination Venus HQ, we have tried to ensure that purchasing goods using our site is a simple stress free experience. Have a good look at the goods on offer and simply ‘click’ on the ‘add to basket’. You will then see the following information: ‘your chosen product has been added to your Shopping Basket please click the Basket Link at the top of the page to view your basket and proceed your order’, click on the OK button. If you change your mind during the process, go to your shopping basket and click on the ‘remove’ button next to the comic you no longer require. At the check out stage, you will be shown the full price for your purchases. You can review the order and make any changes to the contents of your basket. The cost of delivery will be added to the final price of the order. Once you have finished making your selections, please choose a payment method and complete the information requested, to finalise the order. Online we accept payments by Credit Card and PayPal. If you do not have a PayPal account or Credit Card, you can ring the shop and arrange to pay by postal order or cheque.
A confirmation email will be sent to you shortly after completing your order. This will contain your order number, what you have ordered and the total price.
Your orders are posted in a specially designed folding cardboard box, to offer the best safety, whilst in transit.
If you take advantage of our regular standing order facility, we will automatically reserve every issue of your selected titles. You will be contacted by email when we process your standing order, with details of your subscription number and the expected first posting date. You can decide how often you would like the comics posted to you.
When you add titles to your existing standing order a confirmatory email will be sent to you with the details of your extras.
You may cancel a title from your standing order at any time, but we do ask that customers take the issues that have already been put into their files. All cancellations must be sent either by email or in writing and include your subscription number and the titles you would like to cancel.
At present we only accept orders from and shipping to the UK.
Each order is subject to an initial minimum charge of £1.25
We now offer a multi-delivery service. When you have made your order and proceed to checkout, your order will be calculated and the number of weeks offered will be given. You can then order 1-4 deliveries at a £1.25 per extra delivery.
Please note, if you do not take the multi-delivery option, we will not send your comics from a particular order until all comics are released.
Goods are then charged as follows:
Each comic £0.25
Each soft cover trade paperback £1.50
Each hardcover trade paperback £1.75
Each poster £1.50
Each merchandise item £2.50
(Example; you order 3 comics and a soft cover trade paperback, the charge is
£1.25 + £0.75 + £1.50 = £3.25)
Providing your comics are in stock we aim to process your order within 3 working days. Orders will be sent by first class mail. Orders exceeding £12.00 will be sent via a courier.
When you choose from the advance order section the ship date listed on each comic is subject to publisher change.
If you order from the current comic titles and a particular comic is sold out, we will do our very best to locate the comic and fulfil your order. You will have the ability to cancel the order if you would rather not wait.
All orders have VAT included where applicable.
If you choose to have your items posted as they become available, you will be charged for each part of the order based on the postal rates detailed above.
Destination Venus is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. When you place an order, we need to know your name, delivery address, credit or debit card number and expiry date, e-mail address and telephone number. This is simply to enable Destination Venus to fulfil your order and notify you of the status of your order. We operate a simple ‘non disclosure’ to third parties policy. Any information we collect is purely for our internal use. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998).
Under the Consumer Protection Distance selling regulations 2000 you have the right to cancel your order or reject goods, within 7 working days of the goods being delivered.
If you are not happy with any of the items you have received please contact us immediately. Notify us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org stating your name, order number and contact details and a brief description of the items you are unhappy with.
We will be happy to replace faulty goods.
We request you return faulty goods by first class delivery (postage incurred will be credited back to you)
Non faulty goods
You will be liable for the cost of postage and re-shipping if you wish to exchange non faulty goods. This does not affect your statutory rights. Please take care of the goods whilst they are in your possession. Goods must be returned in perfect condition. Please ensure goods are returned to us within 7 days of receipt.
Any refund will be for the value of the goods only (excluding postage). Your account will be credited no later than 7 days AFTER we receive the goods back. It is your responsibility to ensure the goods are returned safely.
