MARVEL TAKES OVER THE COMICS RIGHTS FOR ALIENS AND PREDATOR
Moderately unsurprising - Disney now owns Fox who own both franchises, and Disney owns Marvel. It does make sense to keep all the money in house.
It's the end of an era though. Dark Horse has held those licences for more than thirty years, and while there have been some low points across the years, Dark Horse also produced some exceptionally good Science Fiction action.
Perhaps somewhat predictably Marvel appears to have plans to pitch the Aliens against The Guardians of the Galaxy and a Predator against the Avengers. We'll wait and see how well that works - Batman, Superman and Judge Dredd have already gone up against the extraterrestrial twosome, so we know unlikely crossovers can work...

BATFLECK RETURNS?
A runour, and nothing more. But it is reported that both Affleck and Snyder may return to Batman with a series at HBO Max. I guess we'll see.
VALIANT ANNOUNCES VIRTUAL PORTFOLIO REVIEWS
Valiant isn't the biggest publisher in the world, but they have been around for a long tome and they publish some good stuff. Now they're actively looking for people to work with.
In a press release they have announced that they will be running online reviews of artists portfolios, with one on one review sessions available for artists, colourists and letterers. This is a chance for people to get their work in front of great editors who probably won't hire you, but who will be giving you top notch professional feedback that might well go a long way towards getting you hired in the future. Obviously places are limited, so if you're interested, act fast.
Details from the release:
"These virtual one-on-one sessions will take place with senior editors Heather Antos (QUANTUM & WOODY, X-O MANOWAR) or Lysa Hawkins (RAI, BLOODSHOT) and will run for approximately ten minutes. Please read the below information very carefully for submission details, deadlines, and suggestions.

This is clearly a far from exhausting list - and it's writer heavy because I tend to follow writers not artists. We'll be adding to it.
Go follow them, and find more women to follow, and listen. You don't have to agree, but it's high time that we listened to what women have to say.
GRAPHIC NOVELS ON DEMAND SERVICE NOW ACTIVE

However, we are now able to offer an ordering service - just tell us what you want, either by e-mail, through our social media or using the form on our website (click HERE to go to the appropriate page), we'll send you an invoice and have your book (or books) shipped directly to your door. We can even have them gift-wrapped if you're sending them to somebody else. (Or if you just like unwrapping things...)
