Geeking with Destination Venus #66: Diverted by Diversity

Welcome to the show notes for the 66th edition of Geeking. We should say that this edition was recorded before the announcement of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

So, we started with Regie's review of Episode Three of She-Hulk on Disney+. He is still a fan, but he ended up going on a bit of a rant about some of the online discourse surrounding both She-Hulk and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

As part of that rant, in relation to the idea that Stan Lee would have objected to She-Hulk twerking with Megan Thee Stallion, Regie mentioned the issue of She-Hulk where she appears on the cover with only the Comics Code logo to cover her modesty and then skips naked through the inside pages. The cover in question is above, one of the many "naked skipping pages" is below. Judge for yourself, is - as some claim - a bit of light twerking "completely out of character" for Jennifer Walters? Is it, as we have been told this week "an insult to the comics"?

(We should state for the record that Shulkie is later revealed to be wearing a bikini behind those blur lines...)

We then touched on the non-launch of Artemis 1 and that 's about it. (It was a long rant...)
