It's been a looooooooooong time, but this week after one hundred and forty five days we finally came out of lockdown and got back into the shop. Today we get to put out the first new rack that you've been able to come in and look at in person this year. Of course, just because we're open doesn't mean that you have time to get down to see us in person, so if you can't make it in:
A very quick apology before we go any further - preparations for the re-opening meant that we messed up getting some deliveries out on time. We're rectifying that now.
So. We're back behind the counter, what now?
Well, first of all we're not back every day - at least not yet. During lockdown Regie went back to working as an English Tutor and as many of his students are now in the white heat of final assessments he can't just abandon them so for now opening the shop has to fit around that. For now our opening hours are as follows:
MONDAY: CLOSED
TUESDAY: CLOSED
WEDNESDAY: OPEN 1pm - 6pm
THURSDAY: CLOSED
FRIDAY: OPEN 1pm - 6pm
SATURDAY: OPEN 10am - 6pm
SUNDAY: CLOSED
The eagle-eyed amongst you will have noticed that we're still closed more than we're open. We're working on that.
In the meantime we're thinking hard about the services we offer. Throughout all of the various lockdowns we've been offering free delivery in Harrogate and Knaresborough, and we're going to keep this going. If you're making purchases through the website make sure you select "Free Local Delivery". If you're buying though any other means, just tell us you'd like us to deliver. We're also looking at streamlining our postage rates and making more graphic novels available online.
We have some other ideas up our sleeves, so watch this space...
Everything should be back up and running now, but there are bound to be a few teething troubles as we get back into the swing of things.
