It's that time of the week again, and we have one heck of a rack full of comics here in Harrogate! Come and see us under the stairs at the excellent Everyman Cinema or click on our cover of the week to browse the whole rack online or simply scroll on down to check out our highlights.
If you like the cover of the week have have some bad news - it's the second part of a two part story, continuing from Nightwing #89. We ordered extra copies so that Nightwing readers would be able to get both issues. We did not get those extra copies. That means that unless you explicitly asked us for a copy (in which case I think we have you covered) we currently don't have one available for you and it's already showing as "back order - not stocked" at Diamond, which means they don't have any copies left. (Bearing in mind they didn't send me the extra copies I ordered they'd better not have.)
Don't despair completely however. We have reached out to some friends in the comics retail biz and called in a few favours. We should have some more copies in later in the week. If we do, we'll keep them at cover price for that first week - per our "what we do when things start to get really hard to find" policy*. If you're a regular Nightwing reader and let us know that you want a copy we'll put you on the "want list". If requests exceed availability we'll put your names in a hat (Regie has a rather dashing Bowler he likes to use for this sort of thing...) and the first names out get to be lucky.
We apologise for this - it's one of the reasons we hate crossovers. Feast your eyes though - Bruno Redondo is truly one of the cover artist greats - right up there with Adam Hughes (who was responsible for the Elektra cover of the week a couple of weeks ago...)
And here are the other highlights...
A high-octane crime thriller from Christa Faust (Bad Mother, Redemption) and Priscilla Petraites (Chariot).
Lulu has a very unique profession: She gets paid by the bruise. When she is witness to the execution of one of her regular clients, she escapes into the night with a briefcase filled with diamonds and a pack of killers on her trail.
Navigating the dark underbelly of decaying, early-90's Atlantic City, one step ahead of her pursuers, Lulu must call upon every one of her street-born instincts and underworld connections in what will be the longest - and possibly last - night of her life!
The Kill Lock unified four criminals in a quest to escape their seemingly inevitable, linked deaths.
They managed to escape destruction by merging their consciousnesses, and now one of the smartest-and most malicious-bots in the universe has an unbreakable body and a planet at his command. Homeworld won't allow it, and so two of the deadliest assassins in the universe are tasked to kill the Artisan Wraith.
Transformers artist Livio Ramondelli continues the cult hit, The Kill Lock (2020) in the next installment of this vicious and darkly funny sci-fi series.
They are the last children on Earth... who also happen to be vampires.
For longer than they can remember, these child vampires have lived a life of eternal wonder amongst the ruins of humanity. But shocking events fracture the group and set them on a path of discovery that will shatter their innocence forever.

*Yes, that is an actual policy that we actually have. It's written down and everything. And yes, it is ridiculous that we live in a world where such a policy is needed. Welcome to the twenty first century folks - it turns out the future is annoying.
